Julia Haro

Cultural Producer

I design and produce international retreats and cultural experiences, bringing together leaders, artists, and communities across contexts and scales.

Experience delivering retreats for 50 to 200+ participants across the Americas, Europe, Asia, Africa, and Oceania.

My path into this work began in design, with a career spanning branding, product and spatial design, as well as digital innovation and complex project delivery across international contexts. Working across multidisciplinary teams and large-scale initiatives, I developed a strong foundation in translating ideas into meaningful experiences.

Alongside this, I pursued my art education at the Royal College of Art in London, which continues to inform my approach to working with artists and shaping experiences.

Over time, these strands came together in my focus on creating and holding spaces for people to come together. Over the past three years, I have produced international leadership retreats with Global Optimism, co-founded by Christiana Figueres and facilitated by Plum Village monastics. This includes ten gatherings across multiple regions, bringing together a global community of over 1,000 leaders working across climate, nature, and biodiversity.

These experiences are designed to support personal transformation and different approaches to leadership and systemic change.

In parallel, I develop and curate more intimate formats such as Art for Lunch, creating direct encounters between collectors and artists in their studios.

Today, I produce both large-scale gatherings and focused cultural experiences, placing work in contexts where it can resonate meaningfully.
